This is the second DaVinci Emily crib I have purchased for my granddaughter. The first for her home and the second for my home….. The slats are narrow enough to prevent little baby arms or legs from getting caught.

Our only complaint is that the front rail that curves out to the front of the crib has a gap just wide enough for our son to stick his arm into and get it stuck……… Other than that we love the crib and plan on using it for all of our babies, though we may make our own alterations on it to prevent our 3 month old from going through the same thing with getting his arm stuck.

Our son is now 18months old and this crib has been amazing. Yes I agree that it does scratch easily but it is solid and very sturdy.

The wood is gorgeous! Everyone is stunned by how lovely this crib is!

It’s one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture we own, and certainly nicer than any other cribs I’ve ever seen.

This is an absolutely beautiful crib and it looks phenomenal in our nursery.

It seems so amazingly sturdy that I’ve been tempted to climb in there with her!

The crib is still incredibly sturdy, though, and we know parents who have converted theirs into a toddler bed now and said they could both sit on it with their child!

I like how the whole crib doesn’t move when my daughter jumps up and down.

It took about 30 minutes to assembly it. I had a lot of fun to do that.

Everything went smoothly, instructions were easy to follow, everything we needed was in the package. It took us less than an hour to assemble.

The directions were easy to follow .  I was able to do this all by myself and it was EASY!

4 height settings. Perfect for a shorty like me to easily set down a sleepy baby. Most cribs only offer 3 settings that are either too far apart or does not make much of a difference.

I am 5’5″ and I have no problems picking up and laying down a sleepy baby. Moving the mattress height is pretty easy too, I just did it the other day in a matter of minutes.

While this Davinci Kalani Crib looks beautiful and is very sturdy, the wood is so incredible soft that it scratches very easy

But, the finish is terrible. It scratches extreamly easily and there are teeth marks all up and down the rails. I scratched it on accident with just my fingernail.

Update after one year: There are still only a few small marks from jean buttons, but our little darling has left some rather visible teeth marks along the rail.
