The crib is beautiful and it’s very sturdy

The color of the Espresso is perfect! It’s not too dark ………. but it’s a perfect chocolatly rich brown that will go well with any decor!

It looks as good as it does in photos, and i am also satisfied with the quality of wood used.

This is an absolutely beautiful crib (we purchased it in Cherry) and it looks phenomenal in our nursery.

The Kalani is sturdy despite the few cam-locks

It is built from very high quality pine, and is extremely sturdy.

Maybe even more sturdy than a regular bed. In fact, it seems so amazingly sturdy that I’ve been tempted to climb in there with her!

The crib is still incredibly sturdy, though, and we know parents who have converted theirs into a toddler bed now and said they could both sit on it with their child!

I like how the whole crib doesn’t move when my daughter jumps up and down.

Our baby moves around quite a bit during sleep, and this crib does not move one bit! As a result, she sleeps very soundly at night.

It took about 30 minutes to assembly it. I had a lot of fun to do that. Needing a screw driver, which was not included.

Everything went smoothly, instructions were easy to follow, everything we needed was in the package. It took us less than an hour to assemble.

Grandpa had no problem with the assembly and finished within an hour.

The directions were easy to follow (even with preggo brain) and it took me maybe 2 hours total with potty and lunch breaks and once again, I was able to do this all by myself and it was EASY!

4 height settings. Perfect for a shorty like me to easily set down a sleepy baby. most cribs only offer 3 settings that are either too far apart or does not make much of a difference.

I am 5’5″ and I have no problems picking up and laying down a sleepy baby. Moving the mattress height is pretty easy too, I just did it the other day in a matter of minutes.

Now a year later, the side is completely scratched from my daughter’s biting, the front is scratched from my pants brushing up against the rail to put the baby down, and other little scratches from ANYTHING that comes near it. The wood is so extremely soft that I guarantee it will get scratched.

It does scratch easily, which it why I gave it 4 stars. We have 1 large scratch on the crib from assembly that luckily isn’t too obvious. I’m sure more scratches will develop over time.

While Davinci Kalani Crib looks beautiful and is very sturdy, the wood is so incredible soft that it scratches very easy

It had some scratches already when we bought it, and then got some more after assembly- once when my cat jumped up on it, and another when my husband tried to rub the cat scratch, and scratched it some more with his fingernail.

While the finish is nice when you take it out of the box, it is ridiculous how easily the finish gets scratched.

But, the finish is terrible. It scratches extreamly easily and there are teeth marks all up and down the rails. I scratched it on accident with just my fingernail.

I think there are a few small marks where the button of my pants has leaned against it, but you’d have to look close to notice and they are still the espresso color. More like indentations than scratches.

Update after one year: There are still only a few small marks from jean buttons, but our little darling has left some rather visible teeth marks along the rail.
